Event Space

Curate an art exhibit, produce a special event, or host a unique and unforgettable reception in authentic urban loft environment. The Foundation Room presents an open canvas in which to custom-create and facilitate both private and public events seven days a week. The 5000 square foot warehouse space, located in downtown Kansas City’s historic West Bottoms district, is only two minutes west of city center hotels and tourist sites. The event space has a permitted occupancy rating for 350 people. A surface lot at the corner of Union Avenue and Mulberry Street provides stress-free and plentiful parking and can spaciously accommodate shuttle buses. An open catering policy allows you to apply your individual taste when designing your original event.

The historic red brick warehouse building, originally built in 1904 as a mattress factory, contains much of its original industrial character. Antique wide-plank flooring and hardwood walkways weave throughout the structure. Large expanses of brick walls and heavy wood post & beam construction enhance the room and cast iron-framed windows filter light into the space. Salvaged retro-modern light fixtures provide a fun and funky flair, and high-efficiency heating and air conditioning provide modern comfort to the historic space.
